Copper Anode
Copper Anode
Used to introduce electrical current and/or to replenish the metal ions in a plating bath. The stems of all anodes may be bent to hang on the edge of Pyrex beakers.

Copper anodes dissolve into the bath, replacing metal ions as they are deposited onto the workpiece during plating.

Dimensions given below do not include the anode stem.

Stainless Steel Anode
Stainless Steel Anode
Used to introduce electrical current and/or to replenish the metal ions in a plating bath. The stems of all anodes may be bent to hang on the edge of Pyrex beakers.

Our stainless steel anodes do not dissolve in the plating bath. They serve to introduce electrical current into the bath. Note: A stainless steel beaker may serve as an inert anode.

Choose from plate style anode which hangs down one side of the beaker or "T" style which is curved around the inside of the beaker.

Platinum Clad Anode
Platinum Clad Anode
Used to introduce electrical current and/or to replenish the metal ions in a plating bath. The stems of all anodes may be bent to hang on the edge of Pyrex beakers.

Our platinum-clad anodes are insoluble and do not dissolve in the plating bath. They serve to introduce electrical current into the bath.

Choose from 2 styles, plate and "T" style:

  • "T" style anode consists of platinum-clad titanium and can be curved around inside of beaker.
  • Plate style anode consists of niobium clad at heavy gauge with 99% pure platinum, cold-rolled to a uniform thickness and meshed to expose more surface area. Has higher conductivity than platinized titanium anodes for better current distribution resulting in more uniform plating.
