Designed for maximum rigidity to eliminate or minimize blade breakage. Frames are made of heat treated aluminum with cutouts to further reduce the weight making these the lightest and most comfortable saw frames in the industry.

A unique blade-tensioning system consists of quick-release clamps for the blade and a spring-loaded thumb-screw for quick tightening. In practice, this system makes mounting the saw blade extremely fast and easy (and without the usual dents in your sternum).

Clinical trials have shown that the color red promotes accuracy so Knew Concepts has chosen this color for their saw frames. Available in 3 depths (3", 5" and 8"), all saw frames accommodate standard 5-1/8" jeweler's saw blades.

When balance and feel, lightness and stiffness are critical to the user, this is the ideal saw. Our product testers thought they looked very cool and were delighted with them for piercing work because the extremely light weight was easy on their hands — and no blade breakage even after hours of use.

Available in 3 depths: 3", 5", and 8".

I've had both sizes of this frame for about 6 months and found that after extensive use their performance matches the manufacturer's claims in almost all respects ( not sure about the claim on the color enhancing accuracy, but it is cheery and makes them easy to find!). These are well built and durable frames. The light-weight may take getting accustomed to, but the worth of this feature will quickly be evident during an extended cutting run. The quick blade change/tensioning is excellent for maintaining consistent tension particularly during piercing operations. I have not quantified the "less-blade breakage" claim, but anectodally, it seems to hold up for me ( I follow the instructions!). Pricey for a saw frame, but a valuable tool given its advantages, and valued additions to my bench.
