Cast-iron head is filled with iron shot. As the mallet is struck, the shot moves forward immediately behind the blow, dampening the re-bound and ensuring that the force of the blow is transmitted solidly.
Handles are grooved hickory. Two replaceable, non-marring polyurethane faces included: one medium (green) and one hard (black). Impervious to oils and most solvents. Made in USA.
