Standard mallets have heads which are constructed from tough rawhide: the cylindrical hide coils are hydraulically compressed to assure uniform size and durability. The weighted mallets feature heads made of lead strips surrounded by multiple layers of tough water buffalo hide with screw fastening for exceptional longevity. This extra weight increases the force you can deliver.
Both have solid hickory handles. Made in USA.
