The SRH is Foredom's most popular flex shaft model, the SR hang-up style motor, equipped with a longer (63") square drive shaft and heavy duty protective sheath with liner/silencer. Made in USA. 

Available with or without a FCT or SCT foot pedal and a 30H handpiece (see drop down menu below for options).

Heavy duty flex shafts are the ultimate power tools for deburring, buffing, grinding, polishing and metal finishing of any kind with larger rotary accessories. They are great for large scale woodcarving and sculpting applications with carbide or steel burs and larger mounted grinding stones.

Use with FCT, SCT or EFC foot rheostats or EM manual speed controller and 25H, 30H or 44HT handpieces.

SRH Motor:
This heavy duty model has exactly the same motor specifications as Foredom's SR 1/6 HP Flex Shaft and runs in forward and reverse rotation at speeds up to 18,000 RPM. It combines the most important features you expect — power, reversibility, reliability, and versatility, all in one motor. The SRH comes equipped with a motor bale for hanging, and a 63" long, square drive shaft and heavy duty protective sheath in place of the standard key-tip shaft and sheath.

Foot Pedals:
The reliable FCT-1 Foot Control is Foredom’s most popular speed control. It features solid state circuitry in a heavy duty plastic housing with an extra wide footprint, low profile, and non-skid pads on the bottom. It provides smooth control throughout the entire speed range. Measures 7" long x 4-1/2" wide, 2-3/8" high.

The SCT-1 Foot Control comes in a metal housing and the extra weight provides added stability and control. The bottom surface is covered with non-skid material. It features the same durable, solid state electronics as the FCT-1. Measures 6-3/4" long, 4" wide, 2-3/8" high.

The SR and SRH feature a forward / reverse switch. It's not only great for left-handers, but here's why right-handers will want it too:
  • Reverse helps to keep dust and other debris flying away from right handed users.
  • Alternating motor direction helps to extend the life of certain abrasives.
  • Reverse helps with accomplishing symmetrical grinding and carving techniques.
  • Left handed users have more control of the cutting tool.
  • Reverse makes it easier to back out stuck drill bits.
  • Alternating motor direction makes it easier and faster to polish metals.
