Customer Testimonials of the PUK®
"With the PUK U5 Mold & Die, we have reduced our laser weld outsourcing by 80%. It has also allowed us to become more efficient and flexible with scheduling repairs by eliminating the need to schedule an appointment for laser welding. The PUK U5 Mold & Die is easy to use and requires minimal training. It has quickly become a huge asset to our tooling department. "
- Ron Evink, Tooling Supervisor at Royal Technologies
"We have used it three times now and it has already paid for itself! It is very easy to learn to use;
all my guys are using it. Even the ones who cannot use traditional TIG welding gear.
The PUK® is a VERY useful tool to any mold shop."
- William Barnhart, Tool Room Supervisor at North American Lighting
"With the PUK® U4 we have enhanced our in house welding capabilities by filling a gap between micro welding and laser welding. It has also put some micro welding capabilities in the hands of many of our moldmakers that have little or no welding experience due to the ease of use and small learning curve. I really like how the PUK® U4 does not introduce the amount of heat into the part that conventional TIG welding process does. This results in little or no sinking around the weld, making our repairs nearly invisible. We use the PUK® U4 for welding parting lines, scratches, filling in small voids, etc... The PUK® U4 has paid for itself in no time at all because of our ability to greatly reduce the turn-around of getting an injection mold back into production."
- Mike Sekulski, Seitz LLC.
"We've added the PUK U4 welder to our mold repair department and are very pleased with the results. Typically in the past we would have to send out all small detailed welding to be laser welded. The PUK U4 has allowed us to keep some of the small touch ups in house. This has allowed quicker turn around and less cost as we do not have to ship off site. We have experimented with several different base materials and have had good success with the weld for minimal sink and color match. The main materials we have tested on are: P-20, 15-5 stainless, Mold Max (copper)."
