Ruby Midget Files are engineered for ultra-precision work in fine detail applications. Manufactured in Germany from pure, sintered crystals of synthetic ruby—with no bonding agents—they offer exceptional hardness and edge retention. Their compact 2" (50mm) length makes them ideal for use by hand, in a pin vise, or cemented onto a holder. These files maintain their shape even under rigorous use, making them perfect for fine grinding, polishing, and finishing of hard materials.
Use dry or with Gesswein Stoning Oil to debur, touch up, or polish tool steel, carbide, glass, quartz, or porcelain. Excellent for mold and die work, sharpening gravers, and accessing tight spaces like ejector pin holes or ribs. Can also be used with an ultrasonic handpiece for faster material removal.
