Product Description
The Presidium PRIM II Refractive Index Meter II (PRIM II) is a desktop device that instantly estimates diamonds, moissanite, gemstone simulants, and colored gemstones without requiring RI liquid. Unlike traditional refractometers, it measures a wider refractive index range (1.000 to ~3.000) covering all commonly known gemstones, and provides fast, clean testing with a crisp LCD display by measuring he quantity of light reflected through the stone. Utilizes a pinhole-sized light reflectivity measure on wide oval platform and a cover cup with blackout interior to ensure light reflectivity measure is accurate. Operates on a 9V battery (not included). For use only with transparent, faceted gemstones with flat polished surfaces.
