Product Description
The Aquaflame 500 is a compact hydrogen torch that runs on distilled water. An internal electrolysis cell splits water into hydrogen and oxygen, producing a clean oxyhydrogen flame — no gas cylinders, no pressure tanks. The only byproduct is water vapor, which makes it a good fit for enclosed workspaces. Used for soldering and brazing gold, silver, stainless steel, and select titanium alloys, as well as acrylic polishing and dental lab work.

Required Chemicals
- Electrolyte: KOH dry crystals, Item 8300043 (300g). One bottle per fill.
- Booster fluid: Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK), Item 8300042 (1 qt).
- Aquaflame systems are approved for MEK booster and dry KOH electrolyte only. Do not use methanol-based flux or premixed liquid electrolytes. They are not compatible with Aquaflame.
Setup Kit
The Hydrogen Torch Setup Kit (Item 8301085) includes measuring beakers, a graduated cylinder, a stirring rod, safety goggles, and disposable gloves — everything needed for safe electrolyte preparation.
