The DIASYNTH LAB tester marks a new chapter in advanced technology for gemological analysis. It employs multiple UV sources to stimulate gemstones using Long Waves (approx. 365 nm) and Short Waves (approx. 200 nm). The use of specific UV sources, thanks to XENON lamps and sophisticated optical filters, reveals significantly more details than conventional methods.
DIASYNTH LAB’S AI detects over 130 distinct features for each gem, enabling the identification of Natural Diamonds, Synthetic Diamonds (CVD and HPHT separately), and common simulants such as CZ, Moissanite, Topaz, Synthetic and Natural Sapphire, Glass, Quartz, and many others.
The trays included with DIASYNTH LAB are designed to simplify the handling and screening of gemstones and jewelry, while the "Smart Picking" function assists the operator in removing gems that need segregation. Both large individual pieces and batches of loose stones can be tested with ease. The system also features a rotating support specifically for rings and bracelets. You'll find this is the tester that will redefine gemological testing.

Developed in collaboration with Italian universities and international gemological laboratories, one of the main advantages is the quick interpretation of results and the segregation of "bad" stones by using 3-way AI to autonomously process data and classify gems without human interpretation. This automated digital classification ensures repeatable, accurate results, enabling even non-specialized personnel to operate the device effectively.
However, the AI doesn't "certify" if a stone is a diamond—that's the operator's role. The AI indicates, with extreme precision, the compatibility of fluorescence and phosphorescence of the tested specimens against a statistical database of over 1 million analyzed stones.
We do recommend using a thermal/electrical tester, such as our 8171097 Presidium Multi Tester, to reconfirm stones that don't react to UV light (currently some of Type IIa diamonds and some Moissanite) and which the AI will mark as INERT.
The DIASYNTH LAB has an internal camera and a computer (an NVIDIA AI grade GPU embedded), and while you can use a touchscreen for all the commands, it also comes with a wireless mouse and keyboard.
