The Fretz F-2 Double Convex Stake features two convex ends: one large for forming large, dramatic curves and one small for doming sheet metal. Using this stake helps you form domed bracelets, rings or bead shapes from flat tubular shapes. The two different sized ends allow for a wide range of domed work. The technique is basic metal raising on a small scale. A nylon insert hammer with a flat face is a good choice for forming the convex shapes. Please consider HMR-7, our 8217042 - sold separately.
Fretz stakes are made from hardened 420-grade stainless steel with highly polished areas to prevent scratching or marring your workpiece. Designed for use with Fretz H-1 (shown in the picture but not included) or VH-1 holders (both sold separately). Made in Vietnam.
