Electro Polishing:
Electro polishing uses an electrochemical process to achieve a high, uniform polish by removing material from metal surfaces, even in hard-to-reach areas. For jewelry manufacturers these would be areas such as underneath a prong setting. Consider electro polishing as the opposite of electroplating, because you're not adding, you are removing a thin outer layer or “skin”. Doing this addresses the microscopic surface imperfections. resulting in a smooth, mirror-like surface finish. Electro Polishing uses fewer chemicals and produces less waste, so it is considered environmentally friendly when compared to other finishing processes.
